Admission for academic year 2017/18


To qualify for admission, an applicant must:

    * be a law student of the second, third, fourth, or fifth year of the University of Warsaw (Faculty of Law and Administration)
    * be a law student of the second, third, fourth, or fifth year of other University
    * be a graduate of the law school
    * have a thorough and conversational knowledge of English to the extent of understanding English legal language; and
    * submit the following materials:

1. a completed application form together with a recent photo (the form is available on the web page);
2. a photo copy of an index or USOS transcript (including grades and subjects from all previous years) or copy of the diploma (law school graduates)
3. curriculum vitae;
4. cover letter with an explanation of the applicant's interest in participating in the program and career goals; and
5. a 3-page essay in English analyzing an important legal problem in recent years in Poland or worldwide, chosen by the applicant.


All students should feel free to submit any evidence of their proficiency in English such as: copy of a diploma from a foreign school in an English-speaking country, copy of a diploma from schools specializing in English language, or copy of the results of any English proficiency exam, e.g. TOEFL.
All required documents must be submitted to the Center for American Law Studies (please see specific information under Contact) on or before JUNE 19, 2017. Earlier applications are encouraged. Individual applicants may be invited for individual interviews. The exact dates of the interviews will be posted on the Center's website.

Upon admission all applicant must pay tuition.

The amount of a tuition for the students for a one year program in 2017/18 is 3.000 PLN. The tuition may be paid in two installments - first in the amount of 2.000 PLN until September 15th, 2017 and second in the amount of 1.000 PLN until February 15th, 2018. A tuition for non-students is 6,000 PLN and may be paid in two installments - first in the amount of 3.000 PLN until September 15th, 2017 and second installment in the same amount until February 15th, 2018.
